Welcome to Bed and Breakfast in China. We offer B&Bs (bed and
breakfast), inns / guesthouses, hostels and small
charming
character hotels
for the independent travellers. Some are in private homes; a couple of
economical self-catering apartments / flats in Shanghai for the holiday
accommodation. We carefully selected the ones which have typical local Chinese
architecture designs, some of the properties are centuries old historical houses
in old city / town area, they are all in excellent central location.
In Beijing, you will have an opportunity to stay in a private home - traditional
Beijing Hutong Courtyard
House ("Siheyuan" in Chinese pronunciation) with local
Chinese people. Also there is an alternative to stay in another courtyard
guesthouse with centuries history.
They are both in Historical Conservation Residential
Zone in central Beijing - old city area. Also see our special one-off

In central Shanghai, as well as the apartments we have
the character
Shanghai B&B Style Guest House which is in one of the few
remaining 1920s/1930s era buildings. With it's old-fashioned service and
antique furniture it makes a contrast to the usual 3 or 4 star hotels, yet
still offers private bathroom for every room.
We also listed some popular Chinese ancient towns (see "Ancient Towns" page). So
you will also have opportunities to see and stay in those character historical
courtyard style accommodation in Suzhou, Chengdu, Pingyao, Lijiang and some
other picturesque
ancient towns & villages in different provinces in China. We will offer more in
the near future to provide more choices for you.
Apart from the accommodation, we provide
a lot of information about the city guide (see our City Guide page). Also some
organised join-in tours (small groups, around 10 ~ 15 people) and private
guide/transport for sightseeing (see Tours page). Hope this information can help
you to explore more interesting places,
absorb the local culture and tradition to the maximum with your limited time in

between 4th and 5th Ring Rd. Some Olympic Games venues are in or near the
